How long have you been with your current job, or your longest job?  Personally I have been with Great Lakes Aviation for over 9 years.  I joined them in march '98 which is about a year after school.

My current job, I have been at for about 8 months. My longest job as an A&P was my first job as an A&P for Coastal Helicopters, which was two years. I would still be with Coastal, but I had to get away from my hometown. Anyone who has grown up in one place knows what I mean :-)

As my name implies I am an old guy in this field. I have seen many changes some for the good and some not so good. I started my first job in aviation in 1964 (yes I know many of you were not even around then) I worked at many diff. jobs until 1978 when I got my A&P. Shortly after that (3 years) I setteled into my present job and have been here for the past 26 years. During this time I got my IA. All things being said I have enjoyed my time in avaition.

Me - zero. Wish I had a ticket.

My husband has been in mx for several years. The longest was with ATA, right at 6 yrs. He now does the contracting thing.

Contracting would be great except for the part where employers think you nothing more than a wam body with a tool box. My husband has proven time and again he is way better than the employer's current employees. Saving some companies millions of dollars.

I soloed in a Piper TriPacer on Oct 10th 1964 and paid for it by changing the tires on just about every aircraft in Crescent City CA.
My longest job was 22 years and currently I'm on month 18 of not too many more.
Changing jobs in my field seems to be the only guarantee to continued employment or increased pay.
Pity isn't it?
