So I joined the military about five years ago. Well it will be five in August, but whose counting? All I wanted to do was be around aircraft either flying or working on them. I work in a GA shop in the midwest. We will work on just about anything that will fit into our hangars, and a few things that won't. One problem with this situation is getting documentation (ie manuals) for different makes of airplanes. We have Piper on the computer, as well as Lycoming, Continental, and a few Beech Products. What is the overall opinion on the manufacturers quality of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness? There are a lot of technicians working on a variety of manufacturers products and I am curious if there seems to be a trend for the worse on the acuracy of the maintenance manuals, or data considered acceptable to the administrator.
