I was at Hurlburt Fld from 1982-1998. Worked Talon 1/II's and Gunships. Never had a chance to work the helos, did work in the inshop for a couple month running the JEIM and engine Iso section. Went to Little Rock 1998-2002 working in the ERRC. Played Flight Chief/Supply Super/QAR when all was said and done. I'm still hanging on a thread of hope of getting a good aviation job..but not holding my breath. I work for a county public works for now...it pays the bills!

You are so right! They are overpaid taxi drivers! lol We have all worked with good ones and bad ones and right now I have the honor of working with some of the best! Most of them will admit that the maintainers got the short end of the stick. Hang in there...it has to change!

Pilots without maintainers are just pedestrians with cool sunglasses! Couldn't resist!!!

I may love the scream, but the growling rumble still makes me smile. ;)

Pilots without maintainers are just expensive pedestrians
