We have an urgent need for Avionics Technicians in Wichita, KS - $100/day Per Diem and $30/hr.
This job requires the installation and ring out of any avionics equipment and circuitry, such as radar, pulse, navigation, flight directors, computers, slaved compass systems, auto pilots and I.F.R. systems installed in the aircraft prior to flight. Diagnose and correct malfunctions. Assist lower level technicians in the performance of their duties as required.
The work performed in this job includes the following:
ï‚· Interpret Engineering and vendor diagrams, schematics and/or blue prints.
ï‚· Plan and originate a compatible physical equipment arrangement of all avionic equipment in each system as assigned to any aircraft.
ï‚· Install, test and make operational all avionics systems, such as radar, radio, pulse, navigation, flight directors, computers, slaved compass systems, auto pilots, I.F.R. systems and any integrated systems as required.
ï‚· Analyze the requirements and effects of power requirements, power outputs, stabilization, antenna efficiency, isolation transient suppression, damping and peak voltage limiting requirements which are introduced into the system, for any deterioration or degrading of avionics or aircraft systems.
ï‚· Perform all work to meet departmental and F.A.A. regulations.
ï‚· Determine test equipment needed, set up and operate the equipment for proper avionics performance.
4+ yrs minimum experience
Requires the use of fairly complicated drawings, advanced shop mathematics, handbook formulas, variety of precision measuring instruments. Some product trade knowledge in a specialized field or process of electrical and avionics ringout. Requires the ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general operation methods are available, and the making of decisions involving the use of considerable ingenuity, initiative and judgment. A&P license is desired.
Need 2 individuals - Avionics technician with FCC certification, Collins Pro Line 21 avionics experience
