Mechanic Market





Well I spent 10yrs in the Army as an UH-60 (H-60 for civies) Helicopter Mechanic, 5 1/2 yrs of it on Flight status as a crewchief. I did 1yr in Korea, 4 1/2yrs at Ft. Hood, Texas, 3 1/2 yrs at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, and 1yr in Kuwait/Iraq. I then Moved to BFE, Texas as contractor workin on H-60 reset program for 9months before company lost contract w/govt. then worked as contractor for Naval Flight Training Facility further south of BFE working on the navy's T-45 Jet for 4months but then family business took me back to AK where I am currently workin Executive Security for Conoco Phillips while I am working on getting my A&P.

10yrs 9months Army H-60 Mech/5 1/2yrs as crewchief
4 months T-45 jet

spending time with my wife,racing nitromethane powered rc cars, playing computer games (W.O.W), reading, chillin out, building computers, hmmm can't think of anything else.

Hi! Just had to give you a quick "hard time" from Florida to Alaska. The civilian version of the Blackhawk is actually an S-70. That aside, I hope you and your wife are enjoying Alaska! I bet it is really cold up there right now but I will be wishing I were you in July and August. Flying over the Alaskan wilderness must be a spectacular view! Take some pics and post them. I know we would all love to see them.

Hi there...great pictures! I just signed up. I'm a writer who's trying to learn more about military MRO, and it looks like you're probably a good guy to talk to about that. Not looking for anything too classified... I'm just wondering what types of products you guys use, and what the major concerns are when you're maintaining an aircraft for active use. Can you help me out? Have a good one...
