Well its about that time...

Ok, so things have been going alright at work. Though again like usual we are running into another issue with a shift war. It started a couple weeks back. Actually it probably started a little longer then a couple weeks ago, but its gotten more intense. At the moment I work night shift or we call swing shift. It seems that we have been doing more and more of the maintenance. We have our day shift who claims to try to work, but runs into all types of snags during the day. Then we have our mid shift or graveyard shift. Those guys roll in we give them a turnover and think things will get done. Surprisingly we come in at almost the exact same place we left it.

I have also been slightly distracted from working on the floor. Last month our promotion results came out and I made it. So now I will be putting on E-5 (Staff Sergeant). I am excited to get all of my upgrade training done. I also recently recieved word that I will be reassigned to Japan. So I'm looking forward to going at the end of February. I can't wait to leave because then I'll just have to get used to being back in Japan for the second time, and I won't care about shift wars. Ah well that was nice to get off my chest. Now I must get my things ready to go to work Monday...woo.......hoo. I hope this week goes by fast.

Congrats on the promotion! You have earned it!!!!

I have always hated the concept of "shifts". They never seem to work like they are supposed to and where some get screwed, others get-over!

Well shift wars do occur specially on the civillian sector, I have my share of it working back home on the airlines. Night shift will usually do all the work while the day shifts will be dispatching all the aircrafts and hanging around the air bridge flirting with the cabin crews. Its just the same on both side of the industry. By the way congrats on your promotion SARGE.

Congrats on the promotion and good luck in Japan and with the rest of your career.

Shift wars, now that is a common problem in any industry.  All I know is which ever shift I am on does all of the work and the other shifts suck. Cool
