Seems like a pretty solid game, Make sure you fly the German airplanes as the soviet ones are pretty doggy.

Well, I have been flying the Me-109 since 2001 (since the original IL2, now you have a lot of add ons: Forgotten battles, ace expansion pack, pacific fighters, Pe-2, 1946, and battle of Britain is about to come out, check out online flying , there are people from all over the world dogfighting 24/7.. http://hyperfighter.sk/) , on the 109 keep the speed high ( no less than 300 kph) and fly high, most of the furballs are below 3000 feet ( 1000 meters), if you can lure anyone up to 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) to dogfight, you will see what that little bugger can do, incredible combat sim

PS, you can find a good load of flight manuals for the birds in the game, nothing beats knowing what you fly instead of going to the clouds on a "test flight" with no idea of how to use the plane. just click on the name of the plane you want and it will either be downloaded as a PDF file or in most cases as a zip file with scanned pictures of the Pilot operating handbooks, check at the bottom part of the page for WW2 aircraft.
