Plexiglass windshields in a desert environment
Posted On 05/28/2008 22:19:08 by rescue406

Alright, The Army has this Eurocopter in the desert at Ft. Irwin in So Cal. We are getting pitted windscreens rather quickly. Other than the micromesh kit we use, is there anything else anybody knows of to help reduce the pitting. I hear alot of talk of a "dip" that hardens the windshield or already hardened windshields. Any info would be great, I'm new with this pastic windshield stuff. Thank you, rescue406............
